WHO WE ARE
Crown Theatre is Pasadena’s home for the performing arts, where the love of art meets community. It is home to Crown City Dance, a premier ballroom studio, and Act 1 Act 3, a fiscally sponsored nonprofit giving underprivileged children access to the transformative power of the arts. As historic venues close across Los Angeles, Crown Theatre stands as a steadfast sanctuary for creativity, culture, and connection — and your support ensures this vital space continues to thrive.
OUR STORY
The Crown Theatre we know today is the result of the partnership between co-owners Danielle O’Neill and Forrest Walsh, whose vision and tireless team have been the heart of our work. Founded in 2022 after the pandemic brought Danielle’s nationally ranked ballroom studio and event company to a standstill, Crown Theatre was created to bring these entities under one roof. It was designed to give the community a one-for-all place to experience the joy and transformation of the performing arts. Despite every setback and a permanently changed cultural landscape, Danielle and Forrest have shown remarkable resilience as small business owners, keeping Crown Theatre alive as a sanctuary for creativity and community. We are proud to announce that now it is time to resume and fulfill the vision of a secure, stable home for the performing arts.

We’ve built the foundation, and the next step is to fully equip Crown Theatre so it can serve as a more competitive, affordable venue for performers of every background.
