Located in the heart of Pasadena, our space brings together a mix of styles that feel unique yet cohesive. Chic Mid-Century design, with accents of Art-Deco flair, and an eclectic speakeasy bar inspired by the courtyards of New Orleans each give the venue its own character. Crown Theatre offers an atmosphere that feels upscale, intimate, and unlike anything else in the city. Every detail is designed to bring character, warmth, and a sense of occasion to your event, all while helping usher in a new era of culture and nightlife in Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area.
How do I Rent Crown Theatre?
All submissions to rent Crown Theatre are processed as requests. Once you submit your booking request below, our team will review your event details and email you back a final price quote. Events are reviewed on a first come basis and are only confirmed once the deposit and half the rental payment have been received.
STEP 1.
Visit the booking request link above and select your rental type, dates, and complete your event details. (Laptop view recommended).
STEP 2.
At the time of submitting your request, make sure to set up an account so we have the correct email to respond to your quote with the final rental price.
STEP 3.
Our team will review your request and confirm availability and pricing via the email submitted with your account. If we have made any modifications, we will elaborate in our email. If the date is not available, we will respond with other options we can accommodate. All requests are on a first serve basis.
STEP 4.
Once you have reviewed the quote and confirmed the arrangement via email, we will send you a payment link to secure your booking. This includes a security deposit and half the rental fee to reserve your booking. This can be refunded up to 30 days before the event. Your remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to your event. The $500 security deposit will be returned within 7 days of your event unless fees were incurred due to not properly restoring our venue.

Which Rental Type is Best for My Event?
Crown Theatre provides a range of rental options suitable for various events, whether it's a small, intimate business meeting or a lively wedding. We offer multiple space choices so you can select the perfect venue size
for your event without needing to rent the entire studio.
Main Ballroom
This rental type is best for workshops and events for large groups ranging from 40-175 people.
It includes our Main Stage which can accommodate live performances, speakers, presentations, etc.
Any other studio activity would be moved to our partitioned Reception Area or Small Private Ballroom.

Main Ballroom & Reception Area
This rental type is best for workshops and events for large groups ranging from 40-225 people.
It includes our Main Stage which can accommodate live performances, speakers, presentations, etc.
In addition, it includes use of our Reception Area that can be partitioned with velvet drapes for a cocktail hour.
Any other studio activity would be moved our Small Private Ballroom.

Small Private Ballroom
This room is a closed private ballroom with a 30 person standing capacity.
This is perfect for rehearsals, table reads, meetings, and small groups.
Any other studio activity would be moved to our Main Ballroom and Reception Area.

Full Studio Buyout
This rental type is perfect for weddings, parties, and private events. It includes our Main Ballroom with a 175 person standing capacity and includes use of the Main Stage and our standard PA system. It includes our Reception Area with a 50 person standing capacity. It also includes our Small Private Ballroom with a 30 person standing capacity that is a great use for dressing rooms, bridal suites, or a separate event space. Lastly, the studio buyout includes our Speakeasy Lounge Area located in the rear of our studio for a total capacity of 300 people.

Floor Fees
This reservation is for independent private lesson teachers or dance couples looking to practice. When booking your floor-time request, please be mindful to read through the booking options as we have different studio policies for private v.s. shared space. As we strive to creating a welcoming and safe environment for our student body and yours, soliciting and recruitment are prohibited and will result in revoking rental privileges permanently.
